This was recommended to apply before using prescription grade Retinol. It really helped to keep my skin from getting irritated by the retinol on initial use as well as each time I increased the frequency per week of the retinol. I did only give it 4 stars because they also suggested I apply it to my neck and chest. Doing so, actually made me break out in a rash (did not have that issue on my face). Once I stopped applying it on my neck and chest, the rash quickly went away.

I use this serum at night, under the moisturizer. It makes my skin feel nicely hydrated and does not have a fragrance. This is light enough to be used during the day as well.
